I had the chance to photograph a political event recently and wanted to showcase a fun image. I looked up on the building next to us and saw a sharpshooter pacing back and forth at sunset. Enjoy!
Carroll Shelby
If you know cars at all, then the name Carroll Shelby will certainly speak to you. The world lost this icon of the automotive industry a few weeks ago. If you know Carroll Shelby, you will certainly be familiar with his trademark cowboy hat. These three photographs were taken on June 30, 2006 in Danville, Virginia at a national Shelby convention. This is a shadow of my father on his 1966 Shelby GT-350, wearing a hat reminiscent of Carroll Shelby’s profile. Carroll Shelby’s vision transformed the need for performance in the automotive industry and the rest is history.

Albemarle Magazine – December/January 2011-2012
Alison Dickie, publisher of Albemarle Magazine, was kind enough showcase my work in the December-January edition to promote the Paramount Theater and the many performers that have graced the stage in the last five years. I have had the distinct pleasure of documenting events as the house photographer since 2006, donating many framed prints to the theater for their upstairs offices and backstage dressing rooms. It was a treat to publish a ten page spread with an image of one of my favorite artists, B.B. King, used for the cover and introductory pages. A quick preview is shown below and you may view a link to the current issue by clicking the following link: Inside the current issue

Andrew
Spending time with Andrew yielded quite a few classics. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun!
Rob Garland is the owner of Rob Garland Photographers, a company which specializes in photojournalism and fine art printing. Rob prides himself on a classic, intuitive, heartfelt documentation with the utmost in visual integrity. Rob has documented many destination weddings throughout the U.S. and abroad as well as Charlottesville weddings at many of our outstanding local venues. Rob loves imagery that fails to go in and out of style and personal touches that make each wedding unique.
Norah Jones
Norah Jones is one of those artists that comes along and gives music something it hasn’t had in a while….a dose sensational piano playing, a distinct voice, and a refreshing approach that has been influenced by everyone from Ella Fitzgerald to Ray Charles. I was a blast to chat it up with Norah and document her show that evening.
