It means the world to me when good friends ask to photograph a special time in their lives. I have known Erin and Kevin for a long time and as many of you know, they have been wonderful friends for over ten
A wedding day in the hot summer sun can be tough when you are a ringbearer wearing a nice piece of formal attire. As a wedding ceremony progresses, it can be a wonderful time to search for details and reactions. I have always enjoyed photographing children at weddings simply because they are not adults and don’t always hold themselves at one hundred percent attention during a ceremony, especially during a sermon. After photographing the minister once or twice, I always turn my attention on the attendees and guests watching and listening. Moving inconspicuously around the front can yield to so many outstanding moments and expressions. This photograph is composed in a
The moment between a groom and his soon to be father-in-law giving away his daughter makes for a heartfelt and wonderful moment. Former Hootie and The Blowfish lead singer and current country star, Darius Rucker, takes some time to talk music and greet us backstage at The Paramount Theater.
Believe it or not, we almost talked Blake Shelton into going to a karaoke bar after this show at The Paramount Theater. We all thought it would be funny for him to walk in and sing one of his songs to see how people would react. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. He is currently a vocal coach on the NBCs “The Voice,” with Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and Cee Lo Green.

As house photographer of The Paramount Theater, I was asked to document Secretary of State and former First Lady Hillary Clinton’s visit to Charlottesville, Virginia when she was campaigning for President in 2008. I had a few minutes with Mrs. Clinton backstage and certainly enjoyed the experience of photographing someone who will certainly go down as an influential figure in our nations history.
